November 18 - 24

Did you know that attitude is everything?  I am the ONLY one who can decide what kind of day I am going to have by my attitude.  Usually Sunday's I'm not in the best mood for various reasons I won't go into right now.....but since my big birthday and my newest mantra I had a very nice Sunday this week.

This one is for you dad!

My son shared this with the youth group the other is awesome!!!

It made me wonder if my dad, who has been in heaven for 1 year today, is singing with the stars and whales now ;)

I think he is!!!

I love rocks.  A jar full of rocks is a decorative piece to me.  I have a collection of rocks shaped like hearts here and there throughout my house. Rocks are pretty cool if you stop and look closely at them.

After the message I heard in a church service yesterday, I look at this jar of rocks in a totally new way.

Think of this......each rock represents a different aspect of your life:  family, friends, work, Bible study, prayer, dishes, computer, God....the list is endless!  BUT is this the correct picture?  The speaker challenged us that God shouldn't just be another rock in my life that fills the jar, but He should BE THE JAR!  (think about that for a minute)

God should

Let everything I am be surrounded by HIM.

I certainly need to work on this how about you?

The Return of My Week at a Glance

November 11 - 17

This is a good week to get back into my 'weekly' postings about my life.  I know ONE person who looks forward to this and misses it. :)

This was done for me for my 50th Birthday party by my amazing, brilliant and talented oldest daughter.  A couple of years ago she gave me a booklet with the pages filled with written notes of love, encouragement and thankfulness from family but mostly her.  She thought to add to my book by putting together this poster for my birthday.

Counting 50 years of blessings

Birthdays....there are mixed emotions with that word.  When we are children we welcome these days, counting down until it arrives, but as we age, well, let's just say that the counting down and excitement fades as the number rises.
