THE WINNER IS:
SWEETER THE BERRY
CONGRATULATIONS!
If you've read my blog before you know that I love Dave Ramsey and have followed his "Baby Steps" to enjoy financial freedom in my life. This is what Dave Ramsey has to say about this book:
"Amie Streater....delivers a powerful message of common sense and Biblical wisdom that today's churchgoers desperately need". That's all I need to give this book a recommended read! BUT I did decide that I'd better read it for myself so I can give an honest review :)
This books comes at you with a direct, no-nonsense, I've been there approach. Amie Streater had it all.....but couldn't afford it all. She finally took control of her money instead of it controlling her and shares what she learned with a world in need of learning.. In this book she outlines 7 myths that we all fall prey to. Even as Christians, we have a wrong concept of money and it's purpose in our lives.
As the title says, this book shares what God has to say about money, which is much more than just the usual "tithing" we hear about. She uses many scriptures and offers prayers at the end of each chapter to help the reader make the necessary changes.
I especially liked the important points she outlines at the end of each chapter. What she calls "God's Way" is a quick overview of what to remember for the chapter just read. After that is a section called, "Solution Steps". She doesn't leave you hanging with the problem, but gives you tools to move toward correcting that problem. Solution Steps is just that....steps to help you solve the problems you have in the area the chapter discusses.
Sound like a book you need? Well, I will offer this complimentary copy I received to review to one of my followers.
