A little grumble

I love my gas stove...I wouldn't want to be without it, but let me complain a little here!

How many stoves when the flame is on low does the food burn to the bottom!  Seriously!!!  After only 15 minutes of "simmering" on low my meatballs and sauce are burned!  UGH!!!!!   Oh well, we will have a new recipe tonight.....burnished spaghetti and meatballs.  YUM!

  1. is it an electric stove? I find those burn more food than gas; I rather cook on gas (not that I like to cook, LOL) than electric.

  3. Betty, I fixed the post to say GAS stove!
I have never owned an electric one but have cooked on one before and didn't like it

  4. Happens to me ALL the time on the gas stove here. It's impossible to really "simmer" on them, so I usually turn it off and on. That's why I love my crock pot!!

  5. My father's an electrician, so we always cooked with an electric stove. I never used a gas stove until my husband and I stayed in a lake cabin during our honeymoon. You had to use a match to light the oven. I thought you just turned it on. So after it was on for awhile and we figured out it needed a match, I lit it only to be met with a little explosion that set fire to a broom in the corner! Fortunately, my husband and I weren't injured and nothing else was damaged. The cabin owner thought it was hilarious! But I've tended to stay with electric stoves ever since!

Great blog! I'm your newest follower.
