It is very hard to find a movie to watch with the whole family. Too many times I've picked a movie for our family's pizza and movie night only to have one scene ruin the whole movie. Something not quite appropriate for all those viewing it. We've tried various "technology" to cover-up, or over-look those scenes. While they are helpful, it would be nice to be able to put a movie into the player and not have to wonder.
I have an wonderful discovery to share. I came across Pure Flix and was glad that I did. Pure Flix is an organization that works with "like-minded producers, production companies and distributors to find scripts and movies that have a solid Christian message, or have Biblical historical significance that will impact the viewers." They offer movies that challenge and touch the heart.
Pure Flix offers a variety of genres also. I noticed action, drama, comedy, end times, true-life, political, western, biblical to name a few.
I was offered to review the movie "Sarah's Choice". This movie is about a woman who is faced with an unplanned pregnancy at a time when her career is moving forward.
I watched this with my 12 year old daughter. She asked, "Do people really say those things to someone who is pregnant?" Unfortunately, I had to answer, "Yes."
">
The main character is played by Rebecca St. James. You may also recognize Dick Van Patten who plays the minister.
"In 1973 The United States Supreme Court struck down state laws that ban abortion, but the moral controversy surrounding the issue is far from resolved. If it is legally true that a woman can make her own private decision regarding her reproductive health, Sarah's Choice is a film that offers compelling moral reasons to choose life."
Pure Flix has generously offered 2 DVD's of Sarah's Choice to offer as giveaways. TWO WINNERS! YAY!!!!

sounds like a great giveaway and I love their company. I agree, there are so many movies that are not suitable for family viewing; nice to see a company committed to making movies that honors God and also helps others to pursue their relationships with God. I like that they pray for churches and are intercessory with their prayers. And I do believe I am a follower of your blog :)

So great to see movies and companies like this that are 'family focused'! I have been shocked way too many times at some of the outrageous content on tv and movies! I like that you can preview some of their movies online before you buy!
