Yea, that's what I thought too when I first read about this.  Can it be true?  No more sit ups, leg lifts, crunches?  I've got to give it a try :) 


I ordered a high waist to knee ShaToBu because I have a bit of flab that starts right above my waist and goes all the way down to my knees....yea, gross!  Anyone who knows me is probably laughing.  I am very petite!  I'm sure you're thinking, right, all that flab....BUT clothing hides a lot of that blubber.  Even the smallest people have unwanted, unsightly fat.  Maybe I don't have as much as you do, but I still don't like what I DO have!  


After trying to figure out which was the front and back, pulling, stretching and sucking it all in, I finally squeezed myself into it. It was tight....very tight. I continue to dress into my low rider jeans and a form fitting shirt. The same ones I wore the day before that every time I looked in the mirror I thought, "this is not very flattering".  But this time, a much nicer shape was visible.  No more humps and bumps.  

I wore my ShaToBu all day.  Most days I am not very active, but this was my errands day.  So I did quite a bit of walking, standing and moving around.  I did notice I had to put a bit more effort into my movements.  I was also conscious of how I was walking and tended to tighten my tummy and stand straighter.  All very good benefits.  If that is what it takes to tone, then I'd say that it would work well over time.  


BUT I can't comment on how much toning would occur with daily use over time because I have not worn it again since.  Because of the tightness, especially around the top band, I haven't worn it again.  By the end of the day, I was just too uncomfortable.  I wonder if one size bigger would make a difference.

  1. I've seen something like this advertised in one of the catalogs I get. If anyone has "bumps, lumps, and flab", it is me. But I tried something similar one time and found it most uncomfortable and could not wear it all day, as they usually suggest. Of course, at my age, why bother!

  33. I've fallen off the stay-in-shape wagon again! When I AM actively working at it, I prefer home DVDs for workouts! I also pack my lunch to control what I eat at work (with all of the chocolate and candy sitting around, it's easy to slip up there).
