What's your definition of Organized?

Crossway Book Review Program sent me "The Organized Home Schooler" by Vicki Caruana to review.

This is NOT a book I would have chosen for myself.  I feel that I am an organized person.  I also think that, yes, people are born with an "organization" gene!  Just as one can be born with a creative, considerate, or thoughtful gene.  That's not to say that people without those "genes" can't learn some ways to help them in the areas they may lack.  Vicki Carauna disagrees with my "born with the gene theory".....but that's ok, it is just my own opinion ;)

The main thing I didn't like about this book was that it gave me a picture of "if you don't do it this way, then you are NOT organized!"  I disagree...let me explain why.

As I stated above, I am organized, but NOT as organized as my mom!  She is an over-organizer :)  She probably looks at what I called "organized" and shutters! My husband, on the other hand, claims to be organized, but all I see is a huge pile of junk lying around.  Yet, if he needs a particular part, he knows which pile to rummage through to find it!  So there are differing views on organization, I'd say.

This book is organized....good thing, too, as it is a book about being organized!  I found it to be well-written and chock full of great ideas to guide someone towards becoming more organized not only in their home school, but in any area.

I plan to keep this book in my home school library to pass it along to that someone who needs an informative guide to give them an idea of what organization CAN look like!
