I in no way wish to lessen the heroic efforts of our military. If it weren't for our men and women in the military I wouldn't be able to enjoy the freedoms I have today. I KNOW that and am VERY thankful!
Having said that, I am of the opinion that this latest "hooray, bin laden is dead" is a political hoopla party to make our current president look like a hero. With all the bad press he has been getting recently about his birth certificate, etc, etc. getting credit for being the one who "engineered" the death of the one behind 9/11 is a huge boost to one who needs it.
BURIED AT SEA???? Really....no body, then I'm in doubt that this actually happened. Call me "doubting Thomas" if you like, but I just don't trust the current media or the ones pulling their strings!
My other issue with this whole thing is why rejoice over the death of a lost soul. If that man never trusted Christ as his Savior, he is now burning in hell. Many may say, "he deserves it!" and I wouldn't disagree, but I would also say we ALL deserve it. None of us are worthy to be granted everlasting life with Jesus. No NOT one!
In Luke, Jesus wept over Jerusalem because of their rejection of Him. We should also be weeping over the lost all over the world....including men like bin laden.
I rejoice over the fact that my Savior reigns. HE knows the beginning from the end and is in control of ALL of the happenings around me. Nothing surprises Him and never will.
That, my friend, is something to dance about!

Am I crazy? What do YOU think?
Well said and I agree wholeheartedly. It all just seems a little too convenient.
ReplyDelete@Beverly @ The Buzzit's so hard to believe anything the media tell us
ReplyDeleteGlad to see my daughter thinking correctly. We certainly can not believe everything our media tells us OR what our government tells us. It does seem a little "convenient" at this time. And I agree, and have said the same, we should not be rejoicing or celebrating a death, especially when we know what that man is going through now. Yes, he deserved punishment for his evil deeds, but we should be sad that he lost his soul to the devil.
ReplyDeleteCindy,
ReplyDeleteI've been saying the same thing. No pictures, no body and Obama claims this defeat. Who are they kidding.
Norma
I wonder about that too. Trying to make Obama look good. Interesting timing here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my posting of the subject and for sharing your thoughts here on your blog. I too look at it from the perspective that none of us deserve salvation based on our acts. I am very grateful for Gods live toward us that He would allow His son to die so that we don't have to suffer in hell.
ReplyDeleteVery glad to see I'm not the only one who feels this way, on all counts. It all just seemed too convenient to me.
