My Week At A Glance 8 & Meet Me on Monday

June 19 - 25

FIRST:  MY WEEK AT A GLANCE

The rules are simple.
1.  Write a post about your week, Anything you want! Or just link to your favorite post.
2.  Please copy and paste the Week At a Glance button to that post.
3.  Come here and  link up your post below.

You can then have fun "hopping" around to read about other bloggers weeks or their favorite post of the week.

Anything that will bring ALL of my kids back home is a great thing.  Father's Day was the event that did it this time....YAY!!!! for Dads!    We had a wonderful time with a cook out, lots of laughter and love!
It was extra special this year to have my dad here as he is terminally-ill.  As he so gently put it:  "This is probably my last Father's Day".  Well, thanks dad for that lovely thought :(

Ten minutes after all the kids left, my niece, nephew and great nephew drive in...no nap to recoup yet :)  The first day they went to a local amusement park while I stayed home and rested. My 'old' age demanded it !
We enjoyed a bonfire that evening and the lake the next day.  I so enjoy my family.

The week ends with the last few days enjoying a beautiful bundle of fun.  Kassie will no longer be bringing smiles to our home :(   Her mommy has decided to have a day care at home, this way she can be with her own kids and make a bit of money....wonderful for their family...sad for ours.

 I will miss this smile:
It's amazing how attached I got to this sweetie having in my home over the past 10 months.
Good thing I know where she lives......

The weather finally cleared up enough so I could mow the lawns.  Weed wacking will have to wait until another day.

I am not doing so well with my sit-up regimen.  I wasn't feeling well a couple weeks ago, so I didn't do them for a few days. Feeling better now, but  haven't gotten back into the routine....gotta get back to that as the flab won't go away on it's own!

What did you do this past week?  Anything fun?  Or just the same 'ole, same 'ole....

Please share

NOW MEET ME ON MONDAY
Questions:

1.  What is your favorite food?
2.  What color scheme is your bedroom?
3.  Do you carry a donor card?
4.  In your opinion, is the glass half empty or half full?
5.  Vanilla or Chocolate?
---------------------------------------------------------------
My Answers!

1.  My favorite food is.....I'm thinking.....ummm.....well, the first thing I thought of was vegetable lasagna.  But I don't think that really IS my favorite food.  But that will be my answer ;)

2.  Hahahahaha....color scheme?  ME?  You must be joking.  I don't DO color scheme. The walls are wood, no curtains, the bedspread is multi-colored and the curtains on the closet (yes, curtains!  my carpenter, with whom I live, has not put doors on yet....did I mention we've lived here for almost 4 years???)  are dark blue.

3.  Yes, my driver's license is also a donor card.  I am a supporter of organ donation as my dad would not be here right now if someone else would not have generously done the same.  He had a heart transplant 10 years ago....so ya, you won't need your organs after death anyway, so why not let someone else use them?

4.  Depends, but I'd say mostly half-empty....I am trying to have a better outlook though.

5.  Again, depends....ice cream-vanilla, candy-chocolate.

Comments

  1. You and I are quite alike on that color scheme thing...the lovelies have to help me on this issue. LOL

My dad has just received a diagnosis of prostate cancer---hoping it's operable or treatable or curable or something good. I don't like this, regardless.

  2. I'm with you on the color theme thing.
I don't really have a head for color schemes and stuff.
    Have a great week!
