Summer Fit Series Review & Giveaway

CONGRATULATIONS TO BECCA ANN
OUR WINNER

ENJOY YOUR SUMMER

Very soon school will be over for the summer.  But should the learning end?  No way, life is an learning adventure.  What to keep the learning going on throughout the summer but don't know where to start or what to do?

Enter Summer Fit

Summer Fit has 5 workbooks which contain basic skills in reading, writing, math and language arts. But don't start with academics...get them moving with the daily fitness part that includes aerobic, strength and sport activities to choose from. There are online videos showing children doing these physical activities.  Each week a different value is introduced and reinforced using real world examples of a person who represents that value.

Turn to week 1 to read about honesty and how important it is in everyday life.  The first page gives an overview of what will be covered in the week in academics and exercise.   Each day is a page of activities to complete in reading, writing, math and language arts.  Sounds like a lot...nope, just a little of the basics to keep your child's mind in gear!

I have been a home educator for almost 20 years.  I wish there was something this concise and easy 20 years ago. For a few years I actually schooled through summer (yes, I must have been out of my mind!) I did this because the first 2 weeks to a month back in the world of academia involved getting the students minds back into learning mode and reviewing, reviewing, reviewing.  What a waste of time!  Summer Fit Workbooks can lessen that time immensely because a little bit of education will be happening all summer -  daily!  YES!!  What is provided in these workbooks is just enough...not too overwhelming, but just enough!

There is also online activities that will excite your child on those rainy days when outside activities are limited.
