Welcome Home, Daddy Review

How familiar is this scenario?

5 PM
Mom:  Ok kids, dad is going to be home soon, so lets get this house cleaned up, pronto!

Kids:  Aw, mom, come on I'm busy with.......

Mom:  Your dad works hard for us and he deserves to come home to a clean home and a happy family...so get moving NOW!  AND put a smile on your face.

Kids:  *grumble* as they slowly begin to put their game/toy away to help mom clean up the mess

5:50 PM
Mom:  WHAT ARE YOU DOING???  I thought I told you to clean up, look a this mess!  I'm trying to get dinner on the table and you are just messing things up again.

6:00 PM
Dad enters the house with mom yelling at the kids, the kids looking like they've been run over by a mack truck, the house is partially picked  up and supper is burning.

And thus begins another night of a sullen family at the dinner table.  With everyone anxiously awaiting when dinner will be over so dad can veg out in front of the tv, the kids can hide in their rooms while mom cries as she cleans the kitchen.

NOT exactly what we dreamed of for our family.  This is where dream meets reality and dies out, but it doesn't have to be this way.

Heart attitude and preparation is the key.

But where to start?

How about  picking up Lorrie's book "Welcome Home, Daddy".
found at Eternal Encouragement's website.

Written in 2002,  Lorrie gives timeless ideas on how NOT to have the scenario I described above. How to be prepared in heart and hearth to make the time daddy is home a special, rewarding time.

A practical guide on how to make dinner time something everyone looks forward to and linger around for more fun and laughter.  Or how to have conversations that build your home, making bed times that bring sweet dreams, celebrations that you will talk about when the kids have grown and so much more.

You can have that dream for your family...it just takes commitment, preparation and the right focus.  Let Lorrie show you the way......
