A Piece of Time Review

From the publisher:
This is everyone’s story, not just Lilly Hunt’s.   Like Lilly, who hasn’t endured peer pressure and fought low self-esteem?   Who hasn’t been angry for their losses and heartbroken at losing a loved one?   Whose life hasn’t been impacted with the scourge of an addiction?  Who hasn’t stumbled under the weight of forgiving someone?   Or, harder yet, forgiving oneself?   It isn’t only Lilly who questions why life is so hard, and what IS the point, anyway?   Like Lilly, we wonder—when we set this world down—what will be behind death’s door?  Lilly discovers what lies far beyond that door.  And now, you just may too.
Thankfully, I can answer "I haven't" to many of the questions the publisher asks concerning ourselves and Lilly.  Yet,  many do ask these questions, wondering for answers.  Let  me just say, you aren't going to find these answers in a fictional book...even one that is based on 'some' real-life events.
I can tell you that you WILL find your answers from God and reading His Word, the Bible.
Having said that, this book was an enjoyable 'fictional' read.  Yes, remember, it IS fiction.  The author has an engaging way to capture you to believe that what you are reading could be real.  Maybe some of this could really happen, but don't be pulled into basing your after-life beliefs on fiction.
Victoria Felding, this book's author, is talented.  She weaves characters into your heart causing you to feel their pain and hurt.  She grabs you quickly,  pulling you to turn another page until you come to the end of her story making you thankful that you took the time to read her words.
