Is the Proverbs 31 woman for REAL?

I've never really liked this chapter in the Bible.  Especially when you've been 'taught' she is a real woman and that this should be EVERY Christian woman.  All I can say is:  "Yea, right.  IF she's for real,I've NEVER met her.  Have you?"

The author of this book, "Pursuit of Proverbs 31", Amy Bayliss, begins by dispelling these myths.  She shows with scripture the fact that these really ARE myths.  She also confesses that as a people-pleaser she never measured up as she tried to keep this to-do list.  What freedom she found when she finally realized the truths contained in this wonderful poem (yes, poem, it is Hebrew poetry)

This can be a quick read, but I don't recommend using it that way.  There is so many treasures here that I think it should be used as a study.  Each of the 10 chapters is loaded with scripture, filled with encouraging words, spattered with thought provoking ideas, overflowing with love and ending with a verse to memorize, tasks to complete and questions to ponder.

Amy, I want to thank you for putting Proverbs 31 into a better perspective in my life.
Now I can go tape those pages back into my Bible ;)
