Is an opossum and possum the same animal?
Opossum's and Possum's are both Marsupials but are different animals. Opossum's live in North America, have a bare tail and belong to the Didelphimorpha family. While Possum's live in Australia, have a furry tail and belong to the family Phalangeridae.
