Four Fill-In Friday Fun

I came across this and liked it.
(partly because I LOVE the beach)
I decided to join up and fill YOU in on a little more about ME!

It'd be fun for ME if you would fill in some of these blanks in a comment!

This week’s statements:

1) I can’t help it, but every time I see _____ I smile.
2) Every time I smell ______ I am immediately transported back to my childhood.
3) When I was little I wanted to be a ______________________.
4) If I had to eat only one meal for the rest of my life it would be ________.

1) I can’t help it, but every time I see a young family with many small children, I smile
I smile because it takes me back to when my kiddos were little.  At the time I didn't do much smiling...more complaining, BUT now I think those little ones are adorable and miss my little ones :(

2) Every time I smell ?????? I am immediately transported back to my childhood.
I don't have an answer to this one...I'll keep thinking......

3) When I was little I wanted to be a clown, teacher and a mom.
My senior year in high school I was voted class clown. I've dressed up as a clown for a parade and a birthday party since (check)

In 1987, I became a mom (check)                                             AND 1989, 1991, 1994, 1998

2010 a mom-in-law

In 1991, I began home schooling with my 4 year old daughter. (check)

I've accomplished all my little girl dreams....guess it's time to go onto my BIG girl dreams ;)
I can think of 2:
1.  Be a grammy! (no control over this one)
2.  Get my teaching degree  (a bit scared to attempt this one!)

4) If I had to eat only one meal for the rest of my life it would be pizza?
I don't like food questions because I eat to stay alive not because I LOVE food!

  1. Thanks for the follow, I am now following back! Your oldest is the same age as me. I feel like I do a lot of complaining now, and am going to look back and regret it, but motherhood can be a very frustrating thing! Can't wait to read more of your blog.

  2. I miss our girls being little too! Breezy is our family clown--she's always making us laugh and she used to dress up as a clown for Red Ribbon week parades!

I homeschooled our two younger daughters for 4 years and loved it. They used to tell people they loved being homeschooled but their teacher was mean. LOL

Don't be afraid to get you teaching certification----I know people who are older than you who have only, in the last 2 years, completed college and become certified teachers! Go for it!

My kids say they hate school! Boy, does that bother me ;)
Thanks for the encouragement. I keep thinking and thinking and thinking about getting my degree but haven't done anything to make it happen. The commitment seems so HUGE!

  5. Absolutely love your answer to #1! How I wish I could go back to my younger self and tell her some of the things I know now. Like let the housework go--it'll always be there. Enjoy those little ones and love them every day--even the not so great days. They'll be over before you know it. And being a grandma is wonderful! One of the best things I've ever done!

  6. Enjoy your children while you have them because the time is short.
Cindy...get busy and try for your teacher's certificate...after all, you have been teaching for 25 years in one way or another.
I was surprised at your answer to what to eat...because pizza is always MY answer! Looking forward to Saturday pizza this summer, don't forget.
