Eternal Encouragement Magazine Review

2010 at my daughter's wedding
When I gained a son-in-law ;)
When we all lived under the same roof

Ever think about all the sayings using the word time?

Time after time
 Time to go
The time is right
The time is now
No time like the present
Take time to smell the roses
Time will tell
Time heals all wounds
Only time can heal a broken heart
Running out of time
Time management
Spend your time wisely
It is just a matter of time
Passing time
Killing time
All in good time
Time well spent
Desperate times
Time is money
One day at a time
All the time...
One at a time

Time flies

I have been contemplating the saying "time flies" a lot lately. As I look back over the past 24 years of being a mom, I realize that saying is my life right now.  It truly has "flown" as I watch my children leave the nest and venture out on their own.

I read this on another blog today:
COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS DAY BY DAY
BEFORE THEY'VE GROWN AND MOVED AWAY

God has a way of taking my struggles and making me face them head on.  Especially when what I really want to do is just keep my head in the sand and wish it just weren't so.

The "time has come" that I face my season in life and accept it as God ordained and be thankful.

He knew before I accepted the title of Gabby Mom that my April 2011 mission would be to review the magazine Eternal Encouragement whose theme is about time.  As I read, I was challenged about the use of my time.  No matter what fills the 86,400 seconds of my day, be it chores, discipline, relationship building, spending $$$, training, speaking, am I using that time to the fullest?  To God's glory or my own?

I will never relive one second that has already passed.  I have to make conscience decisions every moment to make it count.  WOW....that, my friend, is quite a challenge!

The recurring verse throughout this spring issue is :

If you struggle as I do with the fact that time will change your life in the future, or just need encouragement to use your time more efficiently.....click on over to www.eternalencouragement.com to subscribe for $25.97 a year.

There's no better TIME then now ;)

On the blog are also blogging tips, guest posts and every Thursday we have a "prayer day" where you can ask for prayer and pray for other's needs.  Please come join us at The Gabby Moms.

*I received a complimentary copy of the spring issue of Eternal Encouragement for my honest review.

I need many reminders to stop and enjoy. Don't know why I have such a hard time with that

  12. That article about 86000+ seconds was rather sobering. The in-your-face realization that you don't get to come back and spend the seconds you didn't use... Even as I've wasted so many today! Thanks for the reminder AGAIN!
