YUM YUM....gotta love whoopie pies!
My daughter started to make whoopie pies to sell when she was 9 years old. She was saving for a horse. She is now 21, she got a husband, but never a horse :(
This recipe was given to me by my Aunt Lucy. I remember going to visit her as a child. She would ALWAYS make us whoopie pies!
This same daughter just called asking for this recipe to make for a baby shower she will be attending tomorrow. Which prompted me to share this family favorite.

According to Amish legend, when children would find these treats in their lunch bags, they would shout "Whoopie!"
